-
1 can (10.5 oz / 300 g) cream of chicken soup
-
1 cup (240 ml) low-sodium chicken broth
Optional for serving: Mashed potatoes, rice, egg noodles, or biscuits.
Instructions
-
Add ingredients to the slow cooker:
Place chicken breasts in the bottom of the slow cooker. Sprinkle the gravy mix evenly over the chicken. Add the cream of chicken soup and pour in the chicken broth. -
Cook:
Cover and cook on Low for 6–7 hours or High for 3–4 hours, until chicken is tender and cooked through. -
Shred the chicken:
Remove chicken, shred it using two forks, then return it to the gravy mixture. Stir well. -
Serve:
Spoon over mashed potatoes, rice, or noodles. Garnish with black pepper or fresh parsley if desired.
Notes
-
You can use cream of mushroom soup instead of cream of chicken for a richer flavor.
-
For extra creaminess, stir in ½ cup sour cream at the end of cooking.
-
Add fresh thyme or garlic powder for a flavor boost.
Tips
-
Don’t overcook the chicken—it should shred easily but stay juicy.
-
Leftovers store well in the fridge for up to 3 days or freeze for up to 2 months.
